							2-butanone + CH3CH2MgBr = 3 methyl-3-pentanol...  Ethyl Magnesium BROMIDE reacts with 2-butanone to form 3 methyl-3-pentanol......   The double bond of C and O in 2 butanone breaks and the CH3CH2 (ethyl group) from ethyl magnesium BROMIDE fulfills the space left after breakage of double bond.......... And after using H3O+ we get 3 METHYL -3-PENTANO E which is a tertiary alcohol....... Hope you understand the complete mechanism....
