To check for Nitro compound as primary, secondary or tertiary it will depend upon,
the degre of alpha carbon it is linked with.
If  Nitro group is attached with 1degree carbon then it will be primary and so on.
I think so.

to check wheather its primary , secondary or tertiary u need to check on which alpha carbon atom the nitro compound is linked with ,
if its linked with a 1 degree carbon atom then its primary ,
if 2 degree then secondary and if 3 degree then tertiary .
They are classified into primary (1
), secondary (2 ) or tertiary (3 ) amines, depending on whether nitrogen is joined to one, two or
three alkyl or aryl groups respectively.
HOPE IT CLEARS YOUR DOUBT
ALL THE BEST .
