Unsaturatedcompounds are organic-chemical compounds whose molecular structure contains one or more carbon-carbon double bonds or triple bonds. These can also be conjugated. Examples are theunsaturatedfatty acids orunsaturated hydrocarbons (alkenes and alkynes).
