All aldehydes ,ketones and alcohols(except tertiary) having CH3 gp adjacent to the carbon containing functional group always give iodofrm test. Please approve the answer if understood.

The iodoform reaction is given by compounds with a methyl group next to a carbonyl group. ... that can be oxidised to carbonyl compounds of this type, also give a positive iodoform test
