In the ques. we wish to find out that alkene which gives us acetone and acetaldehyde.I am telling a trick by which you can solve this type of ques.Let us see-Take acetone break the carbon - oxygen double bond such that C have lone pair of electron.Now in acetaldehyde cleave the C — O double bond in the same fashion.Now we have two species containing C atom having incomplete octet ( only sexate) so these species meet to stabilize and we get the required alkene i.e; 2-methylbut-2-ene.
