Explain briefly about the dynamic nature chemical equilibrium?

The state of equilibrium is a state in which the measurable properties of the system do not undergo any noticeable change under a particular set of conditions.At this stage the reaction almost appears to stop but actually the rate of forward reaction becomes equal to the rate of backward reaction so there is no net change in conc. of various species.Thus we can say that the equilibrium state is a dynamic balance between the forward and the backward reaction.
Equilibrium is called dynamic as reaction does not stop but the system acquires constant observable properties because of equal rates of both the forward as well as backward reactions.
