Stereocentre- If there is no plane of symmetry in the molecule of an organic compound, we say it is having a stereocentre.
Chiral Centre/Chiral Carbon Atom - If in a moelcule there is a carbon atom such that it is linked to four different atoms or groups, we say it is having chiral carbon atom.For example, cis and trans-2-butene are stereo isomers, but not chiral isomers.
