since we have formula no. of hyperconjugation structure is directly proportional to no. of alpha hydrogen. eg:- in propene there are 3 alpha hydrogen so there are three hyper conjugation structure.so we not count original structure in calculating hyper conjugation structure. hope this answer will clear your doubts.
