currently there is no economical method , for that , still there are 1 method , i am enlisting that here ,
you can turn it into syngas and run it over homologation catalyst . , which will initially turn it into methanol and then progressivly into ethanol , propanol , butanol etc ..
the method has a very severe trade – off between conversion and selectivity .
