3-ethyl hex-3-ene the chain containing double bond is taken as the parent chain but the straight chain is neglected becoz it has just 5 carbon atoms so chain containing 6 carbon atoms is taken

sorry..3-ethyl hex – 2 – ene....in the second carbon only double bond is seen..and in the third carbon ethyl group is attached
