aromatic compound are those which show the following :
1.cyclic planar compound
2.continous conjugation(all 5 types)     3.4n+2 pi electrons
IF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS ARE SHOWN ONLY WITH 4n PI ELECTRONS ,THEN IT IS CALLED ANTI AROMATIC
THE COMPOUNDS WHICH DEVIATE FROM ANY ONE OF THE ABOVE CONDITIONS IS CALLED NON AROMATIC
NOTE:”n”is any whole number

there are four conditions for a aromatic compound:
1.cyclic    2. planar(each atom should be sp or sp2 hybridized)     3. complete resonance (double bond, negative or positive charge on alternate atoms )      4. copmound should follow 4n rule..(we count double bond and negative charge and lone pair as two, i mean if the sum of all lone pair double bond and negative charge of all atoms of peripheral in a cyclic compond and it come 4,8,12 or 16 ) the it is anti aromatic

if any one of the conditions is not fulfilled, it is non aromatic
