if u have given the mass of each isotope of an element and the average atomic mass , then u can calculate the percentage abundance of isotope ,
let x be one of the abundances , and the other abundance is 1-x , equate that to the atomic weight and use besic algebra to solve it ,
for example
suppose nitrogen is made up of two isotopes N-14 AND N-15 , ,, ATOMIC WEIGHT IS 14.007 , we have to calculate the percentage abundance .
14.003* x+ (15.000)*(1-x) =14.007
and the trick here is both the abundance will must have to add up and the value will be 1 . (REMEMBER THIS TRICK )
AND BY THAT U CAN GET THE PERCENTAGE ABUNDANCE . (USE BESIC ALGEBRA TO SOLVE FOR X )
HOPE IT CLEARS YOUR DOUBT REGARDING CALCULATION OF PERCENTAGE ABUNDANCE .
IF SO, THEN PLZZ APPROVE MY ANSWER .
ANY MORE DOUBT , ASK IN THE FORUM .
ALL THE BEST ..
