Can anyone correct me if I`m wrong - fructose belongs to D - series because the last asymmetric chiral carbon has -OH group to the right . But still it is leavo because it rotates the light in Acw direction ?? So it`s given by D-(-)-Fructose While glucose is D-(+)-glucose

D configuration of this molecule is ancient term due to last carbon chiral has -OH in right direction as in fructose and glucose both it has got nothing to do with the direction where molecule rotates. (-) here signifies direction ACW
