between phenols and ethers which is more acidic?
plz answer with the reason..

We can easily conclude the reason for this through resonance.
After deprotonation the phenol has a large extent of resonance of the lone pair present with oxygen while in the case of ether their will be no kind of resonance observed hence we can comment about their acidity.
We can also answer this through pka values . We know that ether is much basic than water(pka~15) while on other hand pka of phenol is nearly to 10 so we can easily comment out on their acidic strengths.
