HOW TO FIND HYBRIDISATION OF AN ELEMENT IN COMPOUND IF IT HAS MORE THAN ONE CENTRAL ATOM?
in the case of organic compounds how do u calculate the hybridisation
if around the carbon all the bonds are sigma bonds then the hybridisation is sp3
if around the carbon at least one double bond is present then the hybridisation is sp2
if around the carbon the triple bond is present then the hybridisation is sp
for example :- in the case of methane all the bonds are sigma bonds then the hybridation is sp3
but in the case of ethylene molecule there is a double bond in b/w two carbons each carbon possess sp2
but in the case of acetylene molecule there is a triple bond in b/w two carbons each carbon possess sp
thank u
