After BrCl gives addition reaction with CH3-CH=CH-COOH ,we will get 2 chiral carbons i.e. CH3-CH(Cl)-CH(Br)-COOH
Total number of optical isomers are =2nwhere n=chiral carbons
total optical isomers in this case are = 22 = 4
