why does acidic strength decreases as positive inductive effect of yhe alkyl groups increases?
acidity depends on the stability of the conjugate base formed after the removal of hydrogen.the more stable the anion , more acidic is the compound, bcoz it prefers to lose the hydrogen inorder to form a stable compound.as the +I effect of alkyl group increases it pushes electrons towards the carbon bearing negative charge increasing its instability due to high charge.therefore acidic strength increases as -I effect increases or+I effect decreases
