which is more stronger acid? arrange them in increasing order and tell why you place it there? acids are; acetic acid, formic acid, carbonic acid and chloroacetic acid
its a guessacetic acid<formic acid<chloroacetic acid (dont know about carbonic acid)
mainly due to the ease of release of hydrogen which depends on inductve effect (here). in acetic acid, CH3 is an electron releasing group, thus due to positive inductive effect, H can be removed easily. and in chloroacetic acid, Cl is quite strongly electronegative, and due to negative inductive effect, it withdraws electrons and removal of hydrogen is not that easy
