Dear ansu tiwari,

The IUPAC name of Ketones and Aldehydes are Carbonyl Compounds because they possess the Carbonyl group(C=O) .

In IUPAC system the ketones are named with a suffix ending with -one and if suppose they must be named with a prefix then that is done with -oxo .
