To explain the stability of cyclo alkane beyond cyclo pentane sachse and mohr proposed the new theory that such ring which is absolutely free from strain if all the ring carbon are not in same plane. If the ring is assumed as a puckered condition, the normal tetra hedral angle of 109.28` is retained. And as a result the strain within the ring is released. Cyclo hexane can exist in two non polar strainless form (i)chair form and (ii)boat form.

As explained In Bayers Theory the cycloalkanes should be planar and should have a bond angle of 109.28 . so in care of cyclo hexane the bond angle is 120. and it was expirementaly observed that they are more stable then cyclopentane. This observation showed that the cyclohexane in order to otain stability bent it arrange then in stable configuration of chair form . In doing do the cabon atom arranges themselves such that they have a bond angle of 109.28 .to reduce the angular strain.
