When phenol is treated wid bromine in presence of water, we get 1,3,5 tribromo phenol but when treated in presence of carbon sulphide, we get 1,3 dibromo phenol Why?

water removes the hyroxy group in phenol there by making it nucleophilic addition but tat does not happen wen cs2 reacts
