HOw are melting and boiling point related to each other???

also how does it depend on branching of carbon chain???

In general, a compound having higher boiling point will have higher melting point also.

With the increase in the molecular mass of a carbon compound or the increase in the surface area of a carbon compound leads to the increase in the melting and the bioling point.
