Dear Mridul,

I would strongly recommend "Organic Chemistry" by Morrison and Boyd. Its an amazing book and it actually converted my hatred and dread for the subject into love and interest.

   Good Luck!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter what book you are reading. As most of the books available in market are hard work of authors. The thing which only does matter if you choose one of them be honest to stick one of them. There are books which differ in their orientation, such as Arihant or TMH are more oriented towards the next exam, while Morrison and Boyd or Solomons and Fryhle or Maurice D. Weir are more oriented towards knowledge.

If you want to be in the top bracket, then prefer the later ones.

If you just want to go through mechanisms, then prefer T. H. Sykes.

Beware! There no good books but there are bad books.
