the concept here is that the hydrogen attached to the carbon experiencing more -I effect....is more acidic..

surely option 2 is correct ...

for this remove alfa hydrogens attached to C=0 group ...now more C=0 group will give more EWD effect &

thus stabilize carbanion ...

in 2nd case , alfa hydrogen on carbon bw two C=0 groups is highly acidic ...both groups are very close to carbon &

hence produce high inductive as well as high resonance effect thus stablize carbanion...

I think when we are removing H from Alfa carbon it forms carbonation instead of carbanion plz clear sir

Please find below the solution to your problem.

2,4 Hexanedione has most acidic hydrogen this is because the Carbanion left after the removal of H+ is resonance.
