1.is hybridisation the cause of particular shape of molecule? if not, what is cause for particular shape of molecule?explain. 2.how does hyperconjugation effect involve delocalisation of sigma bonds? 3.among PCl3,NH2- ,CH3+ and NF3 .determine order of reactivity of these towards water?

any compound having any type of hybridisation has a specific geometry e.g in CH4there is Sp3hybridisation having tetrahedral shape.if in any compound central atom has no lone pair then the shape of that molecule of a compound will be same as told in hybridisation but when central atom has any lone pair of e- thenshape of the molecule of that compound will be diffirent from as told in that particular hybridisation according to VSEPR theory due to repulsion between lp-lp>lp-bp>bp-bp. e.g NH3has Sp3hybridisation but shape is pyramidal due to repulsion between lp-bp bond angle decreases.

hyperconjugation is low order resonance & just like resonance hyperconjugation is also due to sigma(C--H) bond &pi bond or positive charge or odd electron conjugation.
e.g CH3---CH=CH2 four hyperconjugative structures are formed

no.of hyperconjugative structures= no.of alpha H + 1

in hyperconjugation H+remain at its position without bond with carbon atom.hence hyperconjugation is also named as NO BOND RESONANCE.
