(1) ch3ch2och2ch3 (2) (ch3)2choch3 (3) ch3ch2ch2och3 (1) is a matamer of both 2 and 3. But 2 and 3 are not metamers of each other. How come. Is it not illogical?.

Organic compunds would be metamers of each other only if they would have the same functional groups but the linkage should be different.
In the above options the Functional group is same that is ether but the posiion is same in 2 and 3 options which disresect the Metamer condition.
Therefore, They are not metamers.
