In that case the pendulum bob needs to be large as the earth and therfore the length of the pendulum would vary.

Hence,

T = 2pi*root(R/g) => 2pi*root(64*10^4) => 1600pi = > 1.4 hour.

Hence the bob itself would take more than 1 hour to complete the one oscillation.

which would be a huge transition and is not possible.
