Hello Jyothi
Mathematically, torque is defined as the cross product of the position vector of the point where the force is applied distance vector and the force vector, which tends to produce rotation. Loosely speaking, torque is a measure of the turning force on an object such as a bolt or a flywheel.
Torque, moment, or moment of force (see the terminology below) is the tendency of a force to rotate an object about an axis, fulcrum, or pivot. Just as a force is a push or a pull, a torque can be thought of as a twist to an object. Mathematically, torque is defined as the cross product of the position vector of the point where the force is applied distance vector and the force vector, which tends to produce rotation.

MR JYOTHI,
TORQUE MOMENT OR MOMENT OF FORCE IS THE TENDENCY OF A FORCE TO ROTATE AN OBJECT ABOUT AN AXIS,FULCRUM OR PIVOT.JUST AS AFORCE IS APUSH OR PULL,A TORQUE CAN BE THOUGHT OF AS ATWIST TO AN OBJECT.

torque...is a a measure of how much a force acting on an object causes that object to rotate. The object rotates about an axis, which we will call the pivot point, and will label 'O'. We will call the force 'F'.

dear jyotheeswar
the torque is defined as the product of force and perpendicular distance from the centre .if there is an angle theeta then we need to represent that one and simply say that rfsintheeta.
