What is the effect of dielectric on the charge of capacitor when dielectric is added

Dear student,

The charge stored on capacitor is proportional to capacitance for same potential difference across it., Hence when dielectric is placed, capacitance increases, and if same battery is used to charge the capacitor(same potential difference), the charge stored on capacitor increases.
