pitch of the screw =distance moved by the screw/no.of revolutions revolved.
In screw guage,after getting crack sound revovle the saftey device in anti-clock wise then the distance moved by the headscale is 1mm per one revolution.In this way we calculate the pitch of the screw.Now by according to our readings pitch of the screw is equal to 1.
