What are the main types of modulation? Please give some idea.

A form of sinusoidal carrier wave is given below:

c(t) = a_csin(w_ct+ϕ)

where a_c– amplitude of carrier wave

w_c – frequency of carrier wave

ϕ – phase of carrier wave

During modulation, any of the above 3 parameters can be controlled by the message signal.

Thus, there is mainly three types of modulation:

Amplitude modulation
Frequency modulation
Phase modulation
