Dear student
Frequency of electron in nth orbit is
f is directly proportional to Z^2 / n^3
If electron make transition from n to n-1 orbit , then
emitted photon
f' is directly proportional to Z^2 (1/n^3 - 1/(n-1)^3)
f'/f = 1 - n^3 / (n-1)^3
Hope this helps
