Dear student ,
By increasing the incident frequency (hv) we are increasing the energy of incident photon which will impart comparatively more energy to the electron of the metal, than a low frequency photon. Hence the electron will be released with higher kinetic energy(1/2mve2).

Since one incident photon strikes just one electron of the metal, increasing its frequency can bring changes in the kinetic energy of only that single electron.

BUT, TO INCREASE THE PHOTOELECTRIC CURRENT..... that is to increase the no. of electrons emitted from the photoelectric metal, we need to put more no. of incident photons on the metal thereby increasing the intensity of incident ray.

NO RELATIONSHIP EXISTS BETWEEN PHOTOELECTRIC CURRENT AND FREQUENCY OF INCIDENT PHOTONS.
