In photo electic effect we
assume the photon energy
is proportional to its freq.
And is completely absorbed
by the electrons in the
metal. V > Vo then the photoelectric current
1. Decreases when freq. Of
phton Increses
2. Increases when freq. Of
photon increses
3. Does not depend on freq
but only on the intensity
4.intensity of the incident
beam
4. Depend on both intensity
and freq.
Give me correct answer and
method

ans is 3. it depends only on intensity of the light, it doesn't depend upon frequency of light. increase in frequency will increase energy of the photon. that will not affect the current because photon and electron does one to one interactions, so no. of emitted electron will not change so no change in flowing charge, that implies no change in current. but increase in intensity will increase no. of photons so more electrons will be emitted. Hence increase in photo current.
