In H spectrum, the infrared line is when the electron dropped to 3^rd orbital so from 5^th to 3^rd is possible via three way 5 to 4 and then 4 to 5 or directly 5 to 3.
For ultraviolet region the electron is dropped to first orbital
which is not possible in the given question.
