In an experiment on photoelectric effect the frequency v of the incident light is plotted against the stopping potential V 0 . The work function of the photoelectric surface is given by ( e is electronic charge) 1) OB* e in eV 2) OB in volt 3) OA in eV 4) The slope of the line AB Correct ans is 1st option Please explain the above .

Using

Einstein’s equation, Vo = (h/e) v – Wo /e

now comaring this by

y = mx + c

intercept = Wo/e

OB = Wo/e

hence

Wo = OB * e

Hope it helps
