I’m trying to find the q-value of the decay C12 to N15, by alpha decay, however this seems impossible as usually you don’t decay into a larger atom. Also the alpha particle is similar to a He atom being removed at the increase up from C12 to N15 doesn’t make since?? If anyone can decifer my question i would appreciate an answer.
