Dear student 
Given A.B= |A X B|
implies |A||B| cos x =|A||B|sin x
x being angle between vectors A and B
implies cos x = sin x
implies x=45˚
Hence |C|=√(A^2 + B^2 + 2AB cos x)
cos x = √1/2
|C|=√(A^2 + B^2 + √2AB)
