question mark

A point object is moving a speed of 2m/s perpendicular to principle axis of a concave mirror of focal length 10 cm. When the object is at principle axis is at distance 15 cm from the mirror , the speed of the image will be 2 m/s4 m/s 1 m/s 3 m/s

Dear Ankur,
i am getting answer as 8m/s .
velocity of image = v2/u2.du/dt  and m = -v/u = 2 so velocity of image = 2 x 2 x 2 = 8m/s.
this is not given in your option
Thanks and Regards

when object moves perpendicular to principal axis the velocity of image is given by
v_i=mv_o
if m is negative then image moves in opp direction of object’s motion.
 m={f\over f-u}
m=-2
v_i=-4m/s
