This is a problem of centre of mass.
$\fn_cm 5(x_{d})+20(x_{b})/25=x_{system} \\differentiating \\=>dx_{b}=-1/4(dx_{d})=-1m$
=> final distance of dog from the shore =10-4+1=7m
