Most understandable Theoritical Approach : 
1 in 5 means he is moving a ratio of 1 (in height i.e. perpendicular) to a ratio of 5 (on ground i.e. base) .now it is gi8ven he is moving 20m on this incline ,therefore -
 distance = 1/5 x 20 = 4 m is his actual distance
 
Now -
work= force x disp 
force = (M+m)g = (55+20)10 = 750N
WORK = 750 X 4 = 3000N (ans)
