lets see the ice is 10m thick

u want a bucketfull water

if u belive in having success in dippin the bucket into the water, urequire atleast 11m of rope, 1 extar to hold onto the rope......

i thought it 2 be a joke now i realize the quest can be answered

actually ¾ of ice is below water surface and remainin above

hence u will require ¼(10)=2.5m rope minimum
