While the derivation of Toricelli’s Law (Speed of Efflux),Bernoulli' s Principle was applied between the above cross-section and hole through which the efflux was coming out!It wasP0+(1/2)dv02+dgh=P1+(1/2)dv12+dgh1Now P0 and P1 were taken as equal to each other and the atmospheric pressure!!But isn’t this pressure, the pressure applied by the liquid!!Then how can it be equal to the Atmospheric Pressure??
