The variation of acceleration due to gravitation due to rotation of earth is obtained by the relation,
g’ = g – Rω2cos2λ where λ is latitude
At equator, ge = g – Rω2
When g = Rω2, ge = 0
Thus, ω = root(g/R)
= root(10/6400)
= 0.0395 revolutions per second (or 17 times the present value).
