v=ω√(a^2-y^2) ,where v is velocity, ω is angular velocity,a is amplitude and y is displacement. so when a=y, velocity is zero.

We can remember a formula for the velocity during shm that is omega times root of A square - x square. Hence the velocity at x equals to A is 0. You can remember that the shm motin is sinusoidal in nature and at x = A dx/dt = 0 and hence velocity(dx/dt) is 0

According to law of conservation of energy, total energy is constant. So,at maximum displacement it posses only potential energy so kinetic energy is zero. So v=0
