must know about the question that, as weight is given of the chain, it means tension will vary from hinged point to the mid point.Now, consider the tension at mid-point which is directed tangentially would be Tm and tensions at the hinged point would have two components, horizontal and vertical upward.. So total force acted vertically upward are, T’ sin ø + T’ sin ø = W …....(i)Similarly, forced acted horizontally are T’ cos ø = Tm …....(ii) Solve these equations and calculate the tennsion at the mid-point ….W/2 cotø Put angle = 0°
