Speed is the distance traveled per unit of time. It is how fast an object is moving. Speed is the scalar quantity that is the magnitude of the velocity vector. It doesn't have a direction.

The rate of change of position of an object in any direction.
formula-- S = d/t
Where,
- s is the speed in m.s-1
- d is the distance traveled in m
- t is the time taken in s

Dimensional formula of Distance = M0L1T0
Dimensional formula of time = M0L0T1
Dividing the dimensional formula of distance by the dimensional formula of time, we get:
M0L1T0M0L0T1=M0L0T−1
Therefore, the dimensional formula of speed =M0L1T-1
