the horizontal range of a projectile is the distance along the horizontal plane it would travel, before reaching the ground. The horizontal range depends on the initial velocity v0, the launch angle θ, and the acceleration due to gravity. The unit of horizontal range is meters (m).

Horizontal range of a projectile is given by ‘R’ = \frac{2u^{2}sin\Theta cos\Theta}{2g}

Horizontal Range:
                THE MAXIMUM HORIZONTAL DISTANCE  BETWEEN THE POINT OF PROJECTION AND THE POINT ON THE HORIZONTAL  PLANE  WHERE THE  PROJECTILE  HITS  THE GROUND  IS CALLED THE HORIZONTAL RANGE .
                                      RANGE = HORIZONTAL COMPONENT  OF THE VELOCITY  *  TIME OF FLIGHT
                                                              RANGE=u\cos \Theta  *2u\sin \Theta/g
                                                                       R= 2u2\sin \Theta \cos \Theta/g
