the study of describing motion is called kinetics.ex:torqe.the study of describing movement is called kinetics.ex:time

Kinematics: Discription of motion with no regard to what is causing it. E.g. distance,position etc.
Kinetics: The study of motion alongwith its cause that produce it.E.g. torque, gravity etc.
