The only difference is that centre of mass frame is that frame which is associated with the centre of mass of the system.. means u r at the centre of mass of the system nd observing the collision. This frame may be moving or at rest. It depend on the system motion. And laboratory frame is the frame which is at rest or the laboratory at which the collisions are taking place… in general centre of mass is moving frame and laboratory frame is rest frame.
